
Josh Hale has been the Fire Chief of New Haven-Adams Township since August 2016. In January 2022, East Central Fire & EMS Protection Territory was created. Josh was appointed to lead this new organization. During his time in this new role, Josh has learned the importance of building relationships with various community partners while growing the fire territory's team of Fire and EMS professionals.
As a member of the Allen County Council, it is imperative to create relationships with the county department heads to truly understand the varied financial needs of our county. Josh has already had the opportunity to work with several of these departments including but not limited to: Homeland Security, the Board of Health, the Building Department, and the Sheriff's Office.
Josh has a proven track record working with Governing Boards, City Council, Township Boards, and Volunteer Corporations.
Understanding the critical roles of each department and how that role impacts the community of Allen County is both work and a commitment Josh is prepared to take head on.
As the Chief of East Central Fire & EMS, Josh truly understands how important it is to be fiscally responsible. He will be a strong voice for vetting all expenditures and creating partnerships that ensure sound financial decisions are being made.
Josh will represent the 1st District with a keen focus on promoting growth and industry in our communities. He will accomplish this by getting involved in our communities, capitalizing on existing partnerships and creating growth opportunities wherever and whenever possible. Josh will be a strong proponent for the growth and development opportunities that East Allen and Southeast Fort Wayne has to offer.
As a resident of Southeast Allen County that lives in New Haven with his wife Amber and three children, Josh is actively involved in East Allen County. He has been responding to emergencies in Southeast Allen County for over 20 years as a firefighter/EMT. Josh is and will continue to be a passionate voice and advocate for the communities of Hoagland, Monroeville, New Haven and Southeast Fort Wayne.
